Welcome to the Robotics and Fabrication Section

Our school's welding club is up and running, and I have been going in order to improve my welding abilities. Currently I have one piece that i am semi-proud of, and the other ones I don't have pictures of, so it works out.

You can see in the pictures that the welds had decent penetration in some areas and were a little cold in others. This is because this was my first time using oxy-acetylene, so towards the begining my weld was fairly bad, but the second half was much better. The part towards the middle which stands up was because I did not heat the metal enough. On the second half of the weld I did not have this problem.

Most recently we have been working on welding a table back together. My welds are ugly, however I have been doing the sections with large gaps to work on filling which, while annoying, is a good skill to have.
